Week 4 Assignment

1.

Google Ads allows advertisers to bid on space to display their offerings via static or interactive messages. Google Ads allows new start up companies with an easy way to create targeted online advertising created by the company .

Google Adsense is a service managed internally by Google to place advertisements on web pages based on site use. Google pays the website publisher for placement of those ads based on user clicks and impressions.

Adsense directs ad placement and pays for that space vs. Ads providing space for custom generated content

Paid ads are merely one way to reach the customer via social media and come with risk.

1. Paid advertisements are impersonal and assumed. The user may not fully understand the message and be quicker to dismiss it.

2. Paid advertisements are not interactive. They provide a one-way message based on assumed behaviors versus conversation with the customer.

3. Paid advertisements can become sedentary and be slower to generate consumer interest vs word of mouth or interactive conversation.

I have received an increased number of email-based marketing offers due to a recent website visit. I was searching for availability and price for a commonly used desktop computer item. The emails suggested a local store pick up option based on in stock availability vs out of stock online inventory

The increase in marketing emails showed that the company was attentive to my interest and provided reminders about item availability. However, the increase email quickly felt less genuine given the number received in such a short time after initial website visit. It felt forced and somewhat intrusive.
